Mad Men Vacation Rentals visited the Animal Kingdom in late 2019 with their twin 3 year olds so of course the Festival of the Lion King was a must! Ive seen this show maybe 3 times in the past but I am always so impressed with the showmanship and talent of the performers. It is almost impossible not to sing along to the Lion King favorites! The kids loved the show and sang along too! By the end I was in tears because the singers were just that good and the message of the show/movie is so moving! Mad Men Vacation Rentals In DinoLand U.S.A!!
The Kiddie area in DinoLand USA is a great little spot in the Animal Kingdom for your little ones! We loved walking under the giant dinosaur and my three year old twins loved the Triceratops Spin Ride! Think the Dumbo Ride but with much less of a line! We got there at the right time because Goofy was there for a visit and line was only 10 minutes! We also played with some hula hoops because why not?!

The Maharajah Jungle Trek Experience was a great change of pace at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park! We realized we forgot our lunches we packed in the car and so my valiant husband literally ran back to the car to get it for our family while I stayed back with our twin 3 year olds in the park, a valiant task too, might I add! I did not want to stand in line by myself with them and just so happened to walk up to the Maharajah Jungle Trek! It was the perfect way to spend the time as we waiting for lunch!
There are so many attractions at the Animal Kingdom it is hard to find the time to actually go on these walking tours to see actual animals! I was so glad we did! The twins raced around and got to see monkeys, tigers, exotic birds and even water buffalo! We spend maybe a half hour or so and it was nice to go at our own pace which at times was running to the next exhibit as you can see in the video! We had a blast and definitely recommend slowing down at the Animal Kingdom to see some of the animals like this Maharajah Jungle Trek!
Our Animal Kingdom Experience
Here is our Animal Kingdom Adventure with our twin toddlers! A lot of these experiences were new for all of us! It was a packed day and my husband and I did the rider switch a few times to go on a few rides by ourselves! The kids love the Kali River Rapids ride and seeing the animals in the Maharajah Jungle Trek! The Lion King show made me tear up at the finale because I got so into it! My son slept through the UP Great Bird Adventure Show but it was so nice they let me bring in the stroller so he could take a little nap! We loved walking around Pandora at night and my sons favorite ride of all time is the Navi River Journey Ride because its slow and full of illuminating lights! We loved seeing a special Holiday Light Show on the Tree of Life and then and of course the Rivers of Light Show was a great way to end the night! Only One Of Its Kind: Disney’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Themed Room
When I started thinking of a Mad Men Vacation Rental property in Disney I loved the idea of having a house completed dedicated to the Magic Kingdom Park! I never heard of a vacation rentals having a theme such as this. I know a lot of vacation rental homes near Walt Disney World may have a room or two themed. Usually the kids rooms as either a Mickey Room or a Princess Room. I wanted to have every room themed. Even the adult rooms but done in a fun yet mature and tasteful way.
I wanted to have rooms based not just my favorite Magic Kingdom Rides but rides that had that nostalgic feel for most adults that love Disney parks. This ride is a classic Disney ride plus its such a fun one too! I never heard of a Thunder Mountain Railroad themed room. But I knew what it would look like, rustic furniture, western accents, I loved the lantern looking table lamps and pieces of art that featured the ride. After the first renovation in February of 2019 there was still something missing. I looked for something to add to bring this room to life and I found this canyon mural that was the finishing touch! The tall ceilings in this room really give you the feel that you are on the ride with this amazing canyon mural! It certainly is the “wildest room in the wilderness!”

Introducing Newly Updated: Peter Pan’s Flight Themed Room Featured In Mad Men Magic Kingdom House
When I first had the idea to do a Disney vacation home themed on the Magic Kingdom Park I immediately knew I wanted to have a “Peter Pans Flight” themed room! One because its one of the most iconic and popular rides in all the Walt Disney World but also because I knew I could make it modern and mature for the adults that love the ride as much a kids! It came together with the cute pillows and beautiful artwork I found on Etsy! A muted green was important so it wasn’t too kiddy. Peter pans shadow was a fun touch behind the door. I loved how the muted green and greys looked together but the room needed more after the big renovation in the winter of 2019. I started thinking big and was already doing some wall murals in the other themed bedrooms. Could I find a wall mural for the Peter Pan’s Flight themed room? The London scene with shades of grey was just too perfect since it matched my color scheme already so it was a no brainer and it turned out so great! I have no doubt the guests will sleep dreaming of Neverland with this famous quote dancing in their imaginations, “Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning. ”
